Lauren K. King
Lauren King focuses her practice on Oil & Gas and Real Estate Law. She is a member of the Austin Bar Association and the San Antonio Bar Association.
Since 2012, Lauren has consulted and assisted on oil and gas transactions in excess of $25 billion dollars. Her oil and gas experience includes writing title opinions, working directly with business development teams, private equity start-ups, corporate boards and land departments to provide acquisition and divestiture due diligence, new entity standup and implementation of land departments and best practices. Lauren’s experience includes assisting companies with leasing, title, and mineral buying projects.
Lauren also handles commercial transactional real estate matters, including purchase and sale negotiations, real estate due diligence, loan documentation, and entity formation. She advises on commercial construction sequencing and subcontractor management and works with developers to defend construction related matters.
Lauren graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California and was a Dean’s Merit Academic scholar. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2005 (currently inactive). Lauren worked in San Francisco, CA as General Counsel for a real estate developer for several years, and also served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Bar Association and chaired the Barristers Club Pro Bono Committee, before moving to Texas in 2010.
Lauren and her husband have two children, she enjoys volunteering at their school, photography, gardening, cooking and the outdoors.
