McCarn & Weir is fully equipped to handle clients’ needs in personal injury cases. We simply do not actively advertise our services, as we are not the firm for your average, run-of-the-mill fender bender. Instead, we represent clients who have experienced a significant injury and significant disruption in their lives, and we have the knowledge and expertise to handle these cases thoroughly, professionally, and as expeditiously as possible.

Matt Sherwood leads our litigation team out of our Amarillo, Texas office. Licensed since 2008, Matt has dedicated his professional practice to trial work. Unlike many other attorneys who practice in this area of the law, Matt has experience both from the plaintiff side and the defendant side. This provides Matt with insight and knowledge of the defendant’s side that many lawyers simply do not have. This unique perspective allows Matt to analyze your case in ways that many other lawyers cannot.

Matt has handled hundreds of cases in his career, most of which reached a resolution without a trial. However, if a trial is necessary, McCarn & Weir is fully equipped and prepared to take your case to trial, as Matt has tried more civil cases than any person his age in the Texas Panhandle. With his courtroom experience and abilities, Matt has earned Board Certifications from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both Personal Injury Trial Law (in 2014) and Civil Trial Law (in 2017). When Matt received his second Board Certification in 2017, he became the youngest lawyer in the State of Texas to hold both certifications.

Throughout his career, Matt has handled many types of personal injury cases, both on the plaintiff and defendant side, including:

  • Due Diligence
  • Wrongful Death
  • Catastrophic Brain Injuries
  • Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Trucking/Vehicular Accidents
  • Motorcycle Accidents
  • Medical Malpractice
  • Dram Shop Liability
  • Trip and Fall

With McCarn & Weir, you can trust that you will receive quality legal representation from attorneys who have the in-depth knowledge of the law and the experience on both sides of the docket to represent your needs.
