Katy works as a paralegal supporting our Energy and Corporate law practice. She assists our attorneys in drafting title opinions and due diligence research. Her expertise includes chaining title, lease review, researching liens and encumbrances, and determining mineral and oil and gas ownership. Katy has also assisted on large contract review projects.
Katy earned a dual Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Marketing and Management from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. In late 2020, Katy will graduate with her Masters of Business Administration from West Texas A&M University.
Katy enjoys giving back to the community through volunteer work. At Texas Tech University, Katy enjoyed the philanthropic efforts as a member of Delta Gamma, and she served as the Sergeant at Arms for the Hispanic Student Society. Currently, Katy serves as the Job Bank Chair for the Texas Panhandle Paralegal Association, connecting both new and tenured paralegals with their next job opportunity.
Katy is a proud Amarillo native. Katy and her fiancé, JP, are proud parents of an ornery Maltese puppy named Henry. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, and traveling. Katy is an avid Dallas Cowboys fans and is anxiously awaiting their next Super Bowl win.
