Jenette N. Sears
Houston | Business Development & Marketing Administrator
Jenette administers programs and processes that support the business development and marketing strategy of the firm across practice areas. She leads and supports vertical growth by developing and delivering innovative and integrated campaigns and initiatives. She handles strategic procurement opportunities for private entities, as well as local, state, and federal government agencies. Jenette also handles all aspects of the procurement lifecycle from sourcing government contracting and advisory relationships through to vendor engagement and final project deliverables.
As a paralegal and project manager supporting our Energy and Real Estate law practice, Jenette supports all aspects of due diligence, including acquisition and divestiture transactions, ownership interest verification in producing properties, and leasing, title, and mineral buying projects. She assists attorneys by chaining title, providing lease review and land record research, researching liens and encumbrances, and determining mineral and oil and gas ownership. Jenette supervises and manages land and title teams, setting and managing KPIs, ensuring quality assurance of work product through diligent review and final reporting. For litigation cases, she creates and manages eDiscovery data, provides early case assessment, and supports large scale document review. Her real estate experience includes the preparation of loan documents and providing closing support.
Jenette graduated from Texas A&M University at College Station with a degree in Biology. She enjoys giving back to the community and teaches a marriage preparation course for engaged couples. Additionally, she strongly supports Spring Branch ISD and the Texas PTA through her volunteer work.
Jenette and her husband have two daughters, two dogs, and one cat. They enjoy the city life in Houston, along with escaping to the outdoors as avid campers.
