McCarn & Weir, P.C. is pleased to announce that Matt W. Sherwood has joined the firm. Matt is a seasoned trial attorney and a valuable addition to our full-service litigation group.

Matt has almost 15 years’ experience as a trial attorney.  He is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, the Northern District of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Additionally, he is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Matt concentrates his practice on litigation and represents companies and individuals in oil and gas matters, construction cases, and commercial/contractual disputes.  In oil and gas matters, Matt has litigated lease termination cases; easements; production in paying quantities; drainage; bad faith pooling; division orders; royalties; surface damages; oil field theft; contract construction issues of purchase and sale agreements, deeds, overriding royalties, and other instruments; gas contracts; and other similar matters.
