McCarn & Weir, P.C. is pleased to announce that Matt W. Sherwood has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

“I am thrilled to be selected to join ABOTA,” said Matt Sherwood of McCarn & Weir.  “It has been a goal of mine to join this organization for several years because of its dedication to enhancing the practice of law.  Their mission inspires me, and to foster that effort alongside some of the best lawyers and judges in the country is an honor.”

ABOTA dedicates itself to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials.  Members in this prestigious invitation-only group must have tried a minimum of ten civil jury trials to conclusion.

Matt has almost 15 years’ experience as a trial attorney.  He is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, the Northern District of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Additionally, he is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
